Peter Owen explores the urban landscape, isolating and layering moments to reinterpret personal experience within public space. He has shown at Brenda Taylor Gallery in New York, The Soap Factory in Minneapolis, D.E.N. Contemporary and The Creative Artists Agency in Los Angeles, 5Traverse Gallery in Providence, as well as numerous group shows. His work has been included in New American Paintings magazine. He has lived in Los Angeles, New York City, Seattle, and Providence, and his work draws from each of these places. He recently participated in the id11 artist residency in Delft, the Netherlands.
